FAQ Pricing & Booking

How do I reserve you for a photo shooting?

As soon as we have decided on a date and time for your event you can pay the required deposit and you will be officially booked!

How high is the deposit? When is the remainder due?

For events the deposit to confirm your booking is 30 percent of the full package price. The remainder is due four weeks before the event takes place.
For portrait session the deposit is due at the time of your booking. The remainder is due on the day we meet.

If we cancel our booking will we receive our deposit back?

In case you cancel you will not receive your deposit back. This covers any loss in the form of lost bookings and eventual cost already arisen before the actual session. However, we understand that unforeseen events can happen, so we try to work on alternatives if possible – e.g. find a new date for a session.

Do you charge for travel?

We want to keep it simple for you, so for most sessions there are no travel fees. In most cases for wedding packages travel costs are included, for smaller session we normally charge travel fee if our travel time exceeds 50 miles (one way). We will make sure that in case there would be costs due to travelling, that we point it out right away so you consider it in your budgeting.

Do you travel to meet clients?

If possible we try to arrange in person meetings (especially for weddings) within reasonable limits. If it shouldn’t be possible due to scheduling or distance we will work something out.

Do you have Liability Insurance?

Yes we do! If your venue requires special details we are happy to provide them. Just let us know.

Are permits necessary for shoots?

If Permits are necessary for a location the CLIENT will obtain all permissions necessary for PHOTOGRAPHER to photograph at the SHOOT. PHOTOGRAPHER has no duty to obtain permission of reception centers, churches, buildings, properties, or other locations to operate thereon.

How do you describe your shooting style?

What type of camera equipment do you use?

Do you provide digital negatives (RAW files) after the shoot?

What is the difference between edited photos and edited and retouched?

What rights do I have to the digital prints?

FAQ Photography

How do you describe your shooting style?

We love candid moments and real emotions between the wonderful people we get to photography. In our session we focus on the interactions of you and try to give you as much space as possible, but of course also guide you if necessary. Standing in front of the camera is not an everyday occurrence, so we want you to be as comfortable as possible.

What type of camera equipment do you use?

We shoot with professional Canon equipment, including full frame cameras, prime and zoom lenses as well as external lighting. We always make sure bring backup equipment in case something should not work as expected.

Do you provide digital negatives (RAW files) after the shoot?

You will be provided with edited images only. Each picture is carefully handled and will be a representation of our work. Be sure to look at our portfolio and that our work and style are a good match for you.

What is the difference between edited photos and edited and retouched?

All final images are edited for color, saturation, exposure and sharpness ensuring that each image is on its own the best it can be. For retouched images we take things a step further by clearing up blemishes, smoothing the skin, removing as much interference from the back ground as possible. Retouched images are transformed from great images into pieces of art!

What rights do I have to the digital prints?

If your selected packages includes digital files you will receive reproduction rights to all your images. This gives you the right to reproduce the images for personal use, so you can use them for prints, sharing them on your social media, making canvases, etc. Commercial use is not allowed if not separately agreed on. The copyright of the images will remain with the photographer.

FAQ The Photo Session

Which locations do you recommend for a Portrait Session?

We do outdoor photography sessions, indoor shoots, we love to explore cities, go on hikes with you and can shoot (almost) everywhere you might come up with. The best places are where you feel most comfortable so you enjoy the session as much as possible. We love to talk about your ideas so just shoot us a message and we can get into the details.

Who is responsible to obtain a permit?

CLIENT will obtain all permissions necessary for PHOTOGRAPHER to photograph at the SHOOT. PHOTOGRAPHER has no duty to obtain permission of reception centers, churches, buildings, properties, or other locations to operate thereon.

How should we prepare for Portrait Session?

Good mood is the most important thing. Make sure you have enough time to prepare beforehand so you are not stressed, comfortable clothes fitting the season and be open to venture out. With kids it helps to bring something to drink and some little treats to make it easy for them as well. We can go through specific questions before your shoot so we can ensure you are well prepared.

What if it is raining during an outdoor session or due to the weather there is no sunset?

In the case of rain or bad weather we will try improvise! Sometimes that means finding shelter or finding other creative way to capture the moment. Bad weather is not a reasons itself to cancel a session, but if possible we’ll try our best to find alternative arrangement – e.g. change locations, wait the weather out or re-schedule.

Will there be a second shooter?

Second shooters are available and sometimes required for large events or special shoots.

Can I extend the session on the day of?

You may extend the session the day of the shoot as long as the photographers schedule is open.

FAQ After the Session

Do you offer online proofs? How do I select the images I want?

All images will be displayed on a online gallery where you will be able to select your images, request changes and download images.

Do you offer online viewing?

Yes, all our packages come with an easy to access online gallery so you can view and share your images with friends and family. The gallery will be available for a minimum of 2 months after publication.

How long does it take until my final gallery is available for viewing?

Smaller portrait sessions take about 2-3 weeks until it will be possible to view them online, weddings 4-8 weeks. If your package also includes prints or albums, this can take a little bit longer. We know how excited you are to see the final images, so we do our best to provide you with the final product as soon as possible.

Do you backup your images? How can we be sure our images won’t get lost?

In our editing process we ensure that we have multiple copies of your images at all time. We’ll also store your images for a minimum of one year, but please make sure you store them in a save place as well so you don’t loose them. Printing the final images is of course the best way to preserve them, but we also recommend multiple copies in save places.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

The final proofing of the photos takes 4 to 6 weeks. A sneak preview will be published on our website within one to two week after the shoot.

Do I have to order prints through you?
